I am tired of reading management books which are prescriptive and seem to know answers to all the problems. This book, however, introduces management concepts in a way that is unique and compelling. The author shares absorbing and interesting learnings about business, leadership, entrepreneurism and blends it beautifully with his passion and knowledge about movies. I loved the way the author correlated management concepts to a scene in a movie. Amazing book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Many best practices of management are documented in one place in comparison with famous movie shots and dialogues. Even though I saw many of those movies it was difficult for me to recollect specific dialogues. As explained by author for movie buffs it may be a good correlation to remember those best practices for long time.

A must read book for Movie Lovers and Business Enthusiasts. It has many details about management, team building, startups, how a manager should be & how to drive his team explained in a unique way with movie scenes. This book for sure will remind of many more movies showcasing management concepts.

Having worked with Lakshmi for four years and the meticulous planning he brings to work was a huge support during my association with him. I saw some beautiful anecdotes picked up over his experience of working at various organisations being presented beautifully in the book.

It covers a wide range of topics & techniques that help you at various stages of your professional career. Explaining every point in detail with good/perfect examples from many Hollywood, Indian films is really awesome . My personal favs are
‘Is my business doing OK?’ The Doctor’s way of approach to any problem looks simple but hard-hitting. Very much like self-introspection.
The slim size of the book makes it easy to get through. The use of dialogue from movies is a very unique touch – don’t recollect seeing it in this depth before. I have always liked quotations and was nice to see the prolific use. My favorite chapter is the one on ‘Driving your time’. Overall, the book makes for a breezy read and a fun addition to your library, with the detailed index to movies and pages, making it an easy reference.
